Each instrument has a suction channel with suction control in the handpiece. The working parts of the instruments correspond in form and function to those of classic cutting instruments for middle ear surgery. The suction function enables simultaneous cutting and suction with just one instrument. The suction power of the instrument significantly increases efficiency. Fogging of the optics is significantly reduced and tissue deposits on the endoscope tip can be easily removed with saline solution.

Middle ear implants are used in otosurgery to replace damaged or non-functioning ossicles. They are used to restore the defective mechanical sound conduction chain between the tympanic membrane and the stapes footplate. There are basically three types of middle ear implants:

1. Total implant or TORP(Total Ossicular Replacement Prosthesis) - complete ossicular replacement; stapes footplate functional
2. Partial implant or PORP(Partial Ossicular Replacement Prosthesis) - partial ossicular replacement; stapes is still present, stapes footplate is functional
3. Stapes prostheses are generally used to replace the stapedius, i.e. the stirrup, when the footplate is fixed.
